These are the most common questions that we are asked
If you have any other questions please Contact us.
Is a Follow Me tour really the best way to experience Bangkok?
“Absolutely, you will see for yourself! You will be up close and personal with your surroundings so this really is the only way to experience the ‘Real Bangkok’. Our guides are not only friendly and fun, but they have an intimate knowledge of Bangkok, so you will leave with an unforgettable experience.”
Are your tours suitable for everyone?
“Our tours are easy going, at a slow pace with frequent refreshment stops, all we can really tell you is that we have safely guided cyclists of all ages, and abilities, between 5 and 85 years of age.”
What if I have never ridden a bike?
“If you have no cycling experience our bike tours are not recommended.”
Can children go on the tour?
“Yes they can, but as parents, you must take full responsibility for them. When deciding which tour is most suitable for children, please bear in mind the tour duration and whether there is night-time cycling.”
Is it safe to cycle in Bangkok?
“Our guests tell us that they feel much safer cycling here than even in their hometowns. Other road users in Bangkok are very aware of cyclists, particularly when in groups. Don’t forget, our tours are mainly along the quiet back streets and your guide will take good care of you.”
Do I need to wear a helmet on a bike tour?
“In Bangkok, you don’t need to wear a helmet, you will be offered one and we recommend that you wear it.”
Is it too hot to cycle in Bangkok?
“Surprisingly it’s not, you always feel a cooling breeze whilst cycling so it’s very comfortable. Bangkok is also flat so there are no strenuous inclines on any of our tours.”
What happens if it rains?
“No problem, in Bangkok it typically rains during the evening or night and it is very localised. If we do get caught out during the tour we provide free rain ponchos and we will take shelter until the sun shines again.”
What should I wear?
“We recommend lightweight cotton clothes with sensible shoes, please avoid flip-flops or sandals.”
What do I need to bring?
“Just bring what you need, we recommend that you do not take handbags on the tour. If your tour starts from our Clubhouse you can leave any personal belongings in our storeroom (at your own risk). You may want to take some cash and clothing to cover your arms and knees if you want to enter any temples. Don’t forget to bring your Passport/I.D. Numbers (we do not need to see your original documents) for your safety insurance cover.”
How big are your groups?
“Your safety and enjoyment are our main priority so we limit the group size to a maximum of 8 guests. For larger groups we have additional guides and the group may also be split.”
Do I need to book or can I just turn up?
“Our tours are very popular so we recommend that you pre-book at least 24 hours before the tour date.”
How long will it take to receive a booking confirmation?
“If you make an online booking you will receive an automated reply with Your Booking details. We will reply within 12 hours and either confirm Your Booking or, if your choice is not available, offer you an alternative date or tour.”
Where do we meet?
“If you make an online booking we will send you a detailed map on how to find us with your Booking Confirmation. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before your tour starts.”
What if I am late?
“If you know that you are going to be late just call us on +66 (0)8 7059 1130 as the tour may leave without you. If this happens we will attempt to reschedule you on another tour depending on our availability.”
How do I pay?
“You can pay by cash (Thai Baht only) when we meet on the day of your tour. You can also pay online by Credit Card or PayPal; details will be on your Booking Confirmation.”
